Cannabis Rising presents a compilation of testimonials by doctors, patients and cannabis experts who have studied, survived or cured diseases such as lupus and cancer using varying forms of marijuana. The documentary, which also explores reasons why medical marijuana has been illegal since the 1930s, was compiled and directed by filmmaker Keith Gamble in 2013. The goal of the film is to educate people about the benefits of ending the prohibition of marijuana.
