Heather Allen, from Bartholomew, Indiana was on heavy Opioids and Benzodiazepine tranquilizers because of the chronic pain she lives with. Heather fell off bleachers at Bedford North Lawrence High School, in Bedford, Indiana in 1998 during a band competition; She fell 25 feet to the ground, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. At age 34, she still lives with the pain, which has intensified over the years. She has been diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, a rare condition that can cause her to faint or blackout when she stands after laying down and can cause seizure activity.
Heather tried just about every pain treatment method on the market. “I’ve seen every doctor from Indianapolis to North Carolina,” she said. “We’ve tried traditional medicines and alternative medicines.” She took up to 26 prescription medicines daily, saw an Amish healer, and met a holistic hypnotist. She had her uvula amputated and esophagus stretched.
Heather was a 911 Dispatcher for Bartholomew County for five years, and she was also a Juvenile Corrections Officer in Bartholomew County for four years before she was unable to work due to her conditions.
After years of hopeless searching for something to make her feel better without horrendous side effects, Heather finally gave medical cannabis a try. She says that the natural plant-derived compounds that she takes everyday have improved her life more than any other treatments she has tried.
How Did Heather Find What Helps Her The Most?
Heather’s neighbor worked in the medical cannabis industry and introduced her to Real Scientific Hemp Oil™ (RSHO) eight months ago. On the second day of taking RSHO, Heather started noticing tremors were gone from her hands.
She wants to continue to educate other patients about RSHO, especially those with lesser known disabilities. “It would be like having the cure for cancer and not telling anyone,” she said. “I’m thankful for being able to have this in my life and I really want to be part of getting people the help they need.”
